Will Dagger has helped develop new work with Ensemble Studio Theatre, New Dramatists, Primary Stages, Second Stage Theater, Clubbed Thumb, The Civilians, New York Theatre Workshop, Colt Couer, Lesser America, Audible, and The New Group. Recent stage credits include CORSICANA (Playwrights Horizons), UNCLE VANYA (O’Henry Productions), YOU DON’T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING (HERE Arts Sublet Series), THE ANTELOPE PARTY (Dutch Kills), AMONG THE DEAD (Ma-Yi), THE CONVENT OF PLEASURE (Cherry Lane), MACBETH (Double Feature) VERANO PLACE (FringeNYC Outstanding Ensemble), PUCKER UP AND BLOW (FringeNYC Best Overall Play), and NAPOLEON IN EXILE (59E59). His performance in a short film adaptation of the latter earned him Best Actor Award from the 30under30 Festival. Film and television credits include THE BRIDE (2025), LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT (NBC), FBI: MOST WANTED (CBS), THE BLACKLIST (NBC), and DECEPTION (ABC). Will was a co-founder and director of Calliope, a theatre company that devised large-ensemble hyperrealistic plays through long-form improvisation loosely inspired by classic works of literature and poetry. He has directed pieces for #Serials@TheFlea, Williamstown Theatre Festival Workshop, Nylon Fusion Collective, The Motor Company, Hearth Gods, The Dirty Blondes, American Globe Theatre, and Tiny Rhino, and is an alum of Kenyon College, BADA, and The Habitat’s Director Playground. Also he writes songs.
